Two types of scholarship assistance are available:
Using the sliding fee scale: We have a sliding fee scale for almost all events. You do not have to apply for a scholarship when choosing a registration option toward the low end of the scale. Those paying on the low end of the sliding fee scale automatically receive some scholarship funds, while those paying on the high end of the scale automatically contribute some scholarship funds.
Applying for scholarship assistance: If the low end of the sliding fee scale represents a financial hardship, we have limited additional scholarship funds available. Special consideration is given to military veterans. Before registering, submit an online SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION. We'll review your application and let you know if we can accommodate your request.
We encourage alumni to keep their practice fresh and growing by re-taking a class, joining us for retreats, and trying new classes.
To this end, many classes and events include a discounted fee option for alumni. This registration option is available on a space-available basis.
Each event which offers an alumni discount describes the criteria for the discount. Discounts are normally available for those re-taking the same class, for Day of Mindfulness retreats, and for selected new class offerings.
We hope that alumni who can afford to will continue to select registration options higher on the sliding fee scale so as to help Mindfulness Northwest make reduced-fee options available to those in most need.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch. Our Contact Page will tell you how to do that.
