Mindfulness Northwest recommends the following area centers as sources of high quality mindfulness instruction and support.
  • Seattle Mindfulness Center -

    The Seattle Mindfulness Center is dedicated to offering high quality treatment, training and education that integrates contemporary mindfulness practices and skills with the science of psychology. Offerings include individual and couples therapy, mindfulness-based classes, a community meditation group, and professional training. Our community meditation is every Tuesday from 7:30-8:30pm. This is a drop in group that is free of charge (donations welcomed) and open to those who have completed an introductory mindfulness class or have an ongoing meditation practice.
  • UW Center for Child & Family Well-being

    The Center for Child & Family Well-being promotes the positive development and well-being of children and families by building multi-disciplinary research programs, translating research findings for application, and sharing knowledge through education, professional training and outreach to the community. Courses include Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindful Self-Compassion.

  • Center for Mindful Body
    University of Washington
    Training in Mindful Awareness in Body-oriented Therapy (MABT) developed by Cynthia Price, PhD. MABT combines touch-based and mind-body approaches to teach body awareness and interoceptive self-care skills. MABT is designed to facilitate embodiment, to promote healthy behaviors and self-care, and to increase emotion regulation.

  • Samaritan Center of Puget

    We provide high quality, faith-integrative, affordable counseling for individuals, couples and families in 18 locations in Seattle, Bellevue and the Eastside, South King County, Pierce and Kitsap Counties. Each of our therapists has a master's or doctoral degree. They represent a variety of mental health disciplines and are licensed by the State of Washington. All Samaritan therapists identify themselves as Christian. Samaritan welcomes people of all faiths, backgrounds and lifestyles. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction classes are offered regularly.

  • Palouse Mindfulness: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (Online) -
    On this website you will find a self-paced eight-week MBSR course, designed for people who are not able to take a live MBSR course for financial or logistical reasons.  All of the materials included from live classes are taught by the creator of this site: certified MBSR instructor, Dave Potter. Dave is a retired psychotherapist with specialties in anxiety, stress, and trauma. No registration is required; the course is completely self-guided and also serves as a great collection of mindfulness resources whether you go through the course week by week or not.
