Transitioning to In-Person Events with Care: MNW and COVID Safety

We are excited to begin to emerge from the pandemic and to share space with you in an in-person residential event at the safest venue we know for this purpose: Samish Island Campground and Retreat Center.

Please note We ask that all participants be fully vaccinated to attend in-person events. In addition, mask wearing in accordance with the current CDC guidelines and venue protocols - if more stringent - at the time of the event will be required. Please plan on bringing your masks.

We realize that the post-pandemic world will still include challenges, and some risk from COVID-19 will persist. Please read below about Samish Island Campground and the precautions they and MNW are taking to help keep everyone safe. We are following all Washington State and CDC Guidelines.

Samish Island is a good place for a safe, in-person retreat after COVID. Here are the precautions in place at Samish Island Campground and Retreat Center:

  • All sleeping accommodations are single occupancy with the exception of same-household participants. Bathrooms are within walking distance and have multiple, doored stalls.
  • Dining hall space accommodates 6-foot distancing for all attendees and number of attendees is predicated on keeping this 6-foot distancing rule. Bathrooms in dining hall are single-use. Attendees will wait in socially distanced line for bathroom use.
  • Hand sanitizer is available and required prior to each person going through serving line.

Meditation hall space is also large and easily accommodates 6-foot social distancing for all attendees. Bathrooms in meditation hall each have two stalls. Attendees will wait in socially distanced line for bathroom use.

Please note: In the days leading up to the in-person residential event, if you experience any cold or flu symptoms or fever (even if mild), we request that you not attend and contact our office at: Office@mindfulnessnorthwest.com.
If you begin to experience any cold or flu symptoms or fever during the event (even if mild), we ask that you notify one of the event leaders as soon as possible to discuss next steps.
