A FREE drop-in mindfulness practice group every Thursday evening
in February and March
Join us for a FREE drop-in mindfulness practice group on any (or every!) Thursday evening between February 1st and March 29th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
Enjoy a guided practice together, a short reading or poem and an opportunity for a brief discussion & check in around mindfulness practice. Drop in, be together, refresh.
These free sessions will be led by teachers-in-training who have been studying and practicing for 5 months in our Mindfulness Teacher Training Program.
All are welcome - from those with no previous experience in mindfulness to those with years of practice. For those new to mindfulness, this is a great way to get started and to taste firsthand some of the benefits of mindfulness: reduced stress and greater health, self-awareness and well-being.
No need to register (although RSVP registrations
are appreciated), just show up at Garden Street Methodist Church
on any Thursday evening between February 1st and March 29th.

Come early! Door will be open by 6:15 and we have to close the door at 6:30.

Research over the last ten years has shown mindfulness training to reduce chronic pain and boost the immune system; to address painful mental states like anxiety and depression; to promote well-being and reduce emotional reactivity; to increase attention and focus; and to enlarge the brain in the areas of decision-making, flexibility and empathy.
