A day of Meeting Motherhood with Mindfulness
at the beautiful Brightwater Environmental Education Center.
A day to offer ourselves, as mothers, the gift of holding all our tender joys, concerns, challenges and opportunities for growth in mindful and heartful awareness.
Bringing mindfulness to the rich and at times stressful landscape of motherhood equips us to step back from the role, to approach it with curiosity, and to discern the highest good more wisely for both ourselves and our family.
To provide a day of experience and awareness for body, heart, and mind, a variety of foundational mindfulness practices will be woven amidst the day’s discussions and sharings, including: sitting and walking meditation, the body scan, and mindful movement.
We’ll explore important topics of motherhood like:
- Balancing a busy life
- Mindfulness in the body for self-care
- Presence in the midst of hardship and everydayness
- Trusting ourselves, and
- Living in the now
This day of Meeting Motherhood with Mindfulness will take place in Woodinville at the beautiful Brightwater Environmental Education and Community Center. This new facility, situated on the edge of a hill with spacious views across the valley, is located roughly 20-25 minutes from Bellevue.
