A Benefit for DVSAS
Join local mindfulness teacher, Tim Burnett, for an exploration of mindfulness practices that promote awareness and well-being. We will discuss the origins of mindfulness, touch on stress physiology, and explore how mindfulness practices can help us reduce stress and enhance well-being. Simple practices of breathing and mindful movement will support our discussion as we explore mindfulness from the inside out.
Instructor: Tim Burnett, Executive Director and Guiding Instructor at Mindfulness Northwest. Tim is certified to teach MBSR by the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts.
Donations for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services of Whatcom County will be collected at the door and online. Help DVSAS serve victims of abuse and work to prevent sexual and domestic violence.
Please Note: Audio/video recordings of our instructors may occasionally be created for certification and training purposes during this program. These recordings will include only our instructors in the photo frame (though they may pick up student voices at some points in the recording) and are for internal use only.
