Emotional Resilience refers to a person’s capacity for meeting difficult emotional situations with greater equanimity and a person’s capacity for returning to a state of emotional balance more quickly. This 4-hour workshop, offered in two 2-hour sessions, introduces techniques specifically designed to enhance participants’ ability to be aware of and respond to difficult emotional situations with both mindfulness and compassion, a combination which cultivates emotional resilience.
What people are saying...
Emotions are an important part of who and what we are as human beings, coloring our perceptions, deeply influencing our quality of life and ability to function well and yet we know little about them and often don't notice emotion unless it's strong.
This workshop uses the tools of mindfulness to help us on our journey with emotions in three ways:
- To know our emotions more fully
- To become able to respond to strong emotions more wisely
- To cultivate and strengthen positive emotions
