Have you ever noticed a familiar message appearing when you’re struggling or feeling vulnerable? I should be handling this better. Why am I still affected by this? What’s wrong with me? Everyone else seems fine. Maybe I’m just not enough.
We don’t always recognize these messages as shame. We may simply believe them.
Introduction to Self-Compassion for Shame is a gentle, 90-minute exploration of how shame can show up in our everyday lives and how the self-compassion practices we already know can help us begin to notice shame with a little more space, kindness, and perspective.
This gathering is a doorway into the 8-week Self-Compassion for Shame: Returning Home to Yourself course. You’ll have a chance to experience the approach, learn more about the full course, and consider whether you’d like to continue into this deeper exploration.
PREREQUISITE:
Participants need to have completed the 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion course at least one year ago and have an ongoing MSC practice. The foundational MSC practices should already feel familiar and available to you. Then, our 8-week Self-Compassion for Shame course will build on that foundation as we learn to bring self-compassion more fully to the experience of shame.

Catherine's presence is a gift. I learned just as much from watching her embody and live this content as I did from reading, talking, learning, and practicing it myself.
