Intro to Mindfulness

ONLINE

1.5-hour free workshop

Curious about mindfulness? Wondering if our programs are right for you? Start here!

In this FREE 90-minute hands-on program, you’ll learn the basics of what mindfulness is and how it can help.

This participatory, practical introductory class includes:

  • Definitions and benefits of mindfulness
  • Body and breath awareness practices
  • Group dialogue and small group discussion
  • Suggestions on resources for ongoing practice and how to apply mindfulness at work and home

Get a feel for what our classes and workshops are like, particularly our 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class, with this free introduction.

MBSR has been shown to reduce chronic pain and boost the immune system; address painful mental states like depression and anxiety; minimize emotional reactivity and promote well-being; increase flexible attention and sharpen mental focus. Mindfulness helps us meet challenges with more resilience, to embrace the joys of life with more appreciation, and approach all experience with greater awareness. Join us!

The information was applicable to seasoned or novice practitioners. Anyone can walk away with a little more skill and richness in their lives. Creatively and thoughtfully presented.
