Closing the Parenting Gap: Parenting with Mindfulness

ONLINE

2-hour workshop

Meeting the joys and challenges of parenting through mindful and heartful awareness

Parenting mindfully isn’t about applying techniques. It also isn’t about becoming a “perfect parent.”

It’s about encountering our children with awareness and presence, starting with awareness of our own experience.

In this workshop, we’ll bring the lens of mindfulness to bear on what some say is the “world’s hardest job.” We’ll weave mindfulness practices amid discussions and sharing, exploring these questions:

• What does being present with my children (regardless of their age), look like? And how can mindfulness support this?
• Why is there a “gap” between my parenting aspirations and how I am with my kids in real time? How can I lessen this gap?
• How can I increase my capacity to understand my children and their needs?
•. What is something I can do to support myself as a parent?

In a learning community of mutual support and shared practice, renewal is possible, and the joys and unmatched rewards of parenting come into clear view.
