How do you typically respond to change? Do you notice resistance when things feel uncertain or a tendency to cling when life feels good? Many of us find ourselves thinking, "I wish things could go back to how they were," or "Once this changes, then I will be okay." If any of this sounds familiar, this course is an invitation to meet change with greater steadiness and ease.

This series focuses on noticing, understanding, and working skillfully with impermanence. Through mindfulness practice, we explore how the mind reacts to change and how awareness can help us respond with more flexibility. As we become less caught in trying to control our experience or other people, we can find it easier to move through difficult emotions and to more fully appreciate moments of joy as they arise.

A central practice in this course is noting meditation, a simple and effective way to deepen mindfulness. By gently labeling present moment experience with a word or short phrase, we cultivate clarity, acceptance, and resilience. This practice supports us in meeting change directly rather than resisting it, which is often where unnecessary suffering begins.

These practices are designed for real life. Mindfulness is not about escaping the world but about engaging more fully with the lived experience of being human. Birthdays pass, seasons change, meals end, and life continues to unfold. Whether you are navigating a major transition or the everyday ups and downs of ordinary life, returning again and again to present moment awareness can foster a greater sense of balance and flow.
