Meeting Loss and Transition with Self-Compassion Course

ONLINE

6-week course

Some seasons ask more of us than we expected. In times of transition and loss, it’s common to feel untethered and just as common to turn inward with self-judgment, pressure to “handle it better,” or the sense that we’re the only one struggling.

This gentle 6-week course offers a different way to meet your experience: with kindness and steadiness. Grounded in the evidence-based practices of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), you’ll learn simple tools to support your nervous system, soften harsh inner talk, and bring a caring presence to what’s hard, without forcing positivity or rushing your process.

No meditation experience is needed, and you don’t need to have the “right words.” You’re welcome exactly as you are. We gather in community because loss and transition can feel isolating and practicing together helps us remember: you’re human, and you’re not alone.

WEEKLY THEMES (6 WEEKS):

  • Self-compassion in mind + body: What it means… and what it feels like to be on your own side
  • When part of you resists: Meeting “I don’t want to” and “I can’t” with gentleness instead of force
  • Finding your compassionate voice: Shifting inner talk from harshness to support
  • Letting life be messy: Making room for resilience and imperfection
  • Acceptance as a process: Exploring the stages of acceptance with kindness (without rushing)
  • Making it count: Bringing what you’re learning into daily life—moment by moment

While the weekly classes are online, this course includes an in-person, all-day retreat. We'll share a spacious day to deepen practice, restore, and integrate what you’re learning in a supportive circle. Retreat capacity is limited to 40 participants.

You’ll leave with practical, supportive tools you can return to again and again, steady companions for meeting difficult moments with more kindness, clarity, and ease.
